About Jenn

Jenn Zigler has a background in both Education and Child/Adolescent Mental Health. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Texas.

Jenn grew up in Dallas and attended prominent private schools here before receiving her bachelor’s degree in Education from Indiana University. In 2012, Jenn returned to Dallas for a classroom Teaching Fellowship at Greenhill School where she worked in the Early Childhood division.

Jenn later received a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University Chicago and returned to Dallas to join the faculty at Alcuin School. As the School Counselor at Alcuin, she worked not just with students navigating socio-emotional concerns but also in a variety of other support-related roles including case management of students with diagnosed learning needs. She served on the Admissions Committee where she took part in evaluating prospective students for entry.

Based on her own personal and professional experiences, Jenn knows how trying the school years can be; it’s where her passion to support school-aged children and families originated! This encouraged Jenn to begin her work in private practice to individualize her work with families even further.

When the academic, social, and emotional needs of a child work in concert with the family’s ideals and the right school program, children are at peace and can meet their fullest potential. Jenn takes great pride in being a guiding light in making this a reality for the families she works with both therapeutically and on the private school admissions side.

Testimonials

"Jenn is amazing! Her unique background and skillset allows her to learn about your children and family and then make suggestions based on which school she thinks would be best and why. Her ability to decrease the stress (both from the parent perspective and the child perspective) was hugely beneficial. If we hadn't utilized Jenn's services, there would have been significant stress and frustrations in our house during the application process. Thank you!"
